What are my options for payment?

You have the option to pay for my services in one of two ways: cash/out of pocket or through insurance, depending on your preference and circumstances.

If you choose to pay out of pocket, you can make payments directly to me without involving insurance. This method may be suitable if you do not have insurance coverage for therapy services or if you prefer to keep your therapy completely confidential.

Alternatively, if you have insurance coverage for therapy, you can choose to use your insurance to pay for my services. In this case, I would provide you with the necessary documentation, such as receipts or invoices, which you can submit to your insurance company for reimbursement. It's important to note that reimbursement rates and coverage may vary depending on your specific insurance policy, so it is advisable to check with your insurance provider to understand the details of your coverage.

What insurances do you accept?

As a licensed professional counselor, I understand the importance of making therapy accessible and affordable. By accepting insurance, I aim to alleviate financial concerns and ensure that you can receive the support you need. Please reach out to me to discuss your insurance coverage and any questions you may have. I am here to assist you in navigating the insurance process and facilitating your therapeutic journey.

I accept Aetna, CareFirst, Cigna, Optum, Humana and United Healthcare.

What if you don’t accept my insurance?

I am considered an "out-of-network" provider for all insurance policies not listed above, which means that I do not directly accept that insurance. However, if your insurance company offers reimbursement for therapy services, I will provide you or your insurance company with all the necessary paperwork, such as receipts, to facilitate the reimbursement process. I recommend contacting your insurance company directly to inquire about their reimbursement policies.

If your ability to participate in therapy depends on insurance coverage, I am open to discussing alternative payment options, including payment plans. We can explore different arrangements that will allow you to receive the therapy you need while accommodating your financial situation.

Please note that it is important to reach out to your insurance company to obtain detailed information about their reimbursement policies, as each insurance policy may have different requirements and limitations. While I can provide the necessary paperwork, I cannot offer legal or financial advice regarding insurance matters. For specific guidance, it is always recommended to consult with professionals in those fields.

How much are sessions out of pocket?

Individual counseling sessions, including the initial assessment, are priced at $120 per session. I understand that managing the cost of therapy can be challenging for some individuals, and I am open to discussing payment plans to help accommodate your financial situation.

If you require a payment plan, we can explore different arrangements that suit your needs. This may involve dividing the total cost of therapy into manageable installments over an agreed-upon period. By working together, we can find a payment plan that allows you to receive the therapy you need while easing any financial burden.

During our initial consultation or at any point during our therapeutic relationship, feel free to bring up your financial concerns, and we can discuss payment options in more detail. It is important to me that therapy remains accessible and supportive for all clients.
